Top Left: Yeghishe Topchian – Native of Aleksandrapol (Alexandropol/Gyumri). Received higher education in Germany. Writer, propagandist, organizer. Was particularly noteworthy in 1906-08 as editor of “Harach” and succeeding newspapers, organizing workers, agitating against the Mihranagan and separatist movements. In order to escape the Lezhin? suppressions, moved to Garin/Erzurum in 1908, where he laid the establishment for the newspaper “Harach”. Killed by Mihran’s brother, 1909.

Top Right: Yervant Frankian (1878-1928) – Native of Igdir/Iğdır. Studied at the parochial school of Yerevan and in Germany, philosophy. Teacher. Public figure. Writer. Has many works on theoretical-philosophical issues, on Armenian culture, public life and activists, and the program of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation. Died following an accident.

Bottom Right: Zaven – Hagop Karageuzian (1873-1897) – Native of Drabizon/Trabzon. Member of the ARF committee and an active figure. Moves to Constantinople/Istanbul in 1896 and participates in the organization of the bomb demonstration. Besieged in his home on July 12, 1897, resists the police with a revolver and uses the last bullet to take his own life.
