Our November 2010 Newsletter is about an ARF judicial verdict, regarding an internal party suit filed against the last Prime Minister of Armenia (1918-1920) Simon Vratzian.
The document is important because it deals with not only an internal party issue, but also covers a historically important period of time, right after the collapse of the Armenian Republic (1918-1920).
One of Vratzian’s colleagues, Avetis Ohanjanian, charged Vratzian, during the last days of the February uprising (February 18-April 2, 1921) with financial and political misdeeds. The ARF Highest Judiciary Body, convened in Tabriz (Iran), under the chairmanship of Levon Thadeossian, found that these charges are baseless and gave its verdict.- Vratzian is innocent and Ohanjanian has to be suspended from the ranks for 6 months, for his unacceptable conduct.
In our archives, this document bears the call number 1615-50. It is handwritten and could be read very easily.
