Calouste Gulbenkian Trustee Visits ARF Archives Institute

WATERTOWN, Mass. (A.W.) – On Aug. 10, Martin Essayan, a member of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s Board of Trustees, visited the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Archives Institute office at the Hairenik Association, located in Watertown.

The Armenian section of the Galouste Gulbenkian Foundation, once again, has provided a grant of $25,000 to the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Archives Institute for digitizing the vast archives of the organization.

Pamboukian Talks about ARF Archives

On April 7, the Hairenik Association organized a discussion with historian and former Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Bureau member Dr. Yervart Pamboukian from Lebanon. The event, held at the Homenetmen “Papken Suny” center in Watertown, was attended by scholars, intellectuals, and representatives from Armenian organizations and associations from the Greater Boston area and beyond.

ARF Archives Institute Aims to Digitize Party’s 118 Year History

The Armenian Revolutionary Federation officially announced this week that it has established a central Archive institute that will be digitizing the vast archives of the 118 year-old political party, which include in them the hand written declaration of independence of the First Republic of Armenia.
